| Executive Privilege 3E brings home another Grand Prix win during the Canadian Country Classic Week One at Halton Place. |
| 2010/9/3 |
KingRidge Stables enjoyed great success during the Canadian Country Classic Week 1 at Halton Place, showcasing the stables many talented homebreds and winning $20,000 in prize money. The highlight in a series of impressive ribbons, Executive Privilege 3E won the $40,000 Villarboit Grand Prix under the guidance of KingRidge Stables Head Trainer, Hugh Graham. Bred by KingRidge Stables, Executive Privilege 3E is a 2000 Canadian Sport Horse gelding sired by Class Action (Libero H) out of another KingRidge Stables homebred, Galaxy 3E (Aerobic). Ernie, as he is affectionately known around the stables, has a playful and lively personality coupled with tremendous heart. Also in the ribbons were stable mates Fifth Estate 3E and Grande Finale 3E, who finished fourth and ninth respectively. In the $10,000 1.35m Modified Grand Prix, Feature Attraction 3E and Graham finished fourth out of a field of 30. A 2001 Canadian Sport Horse gelding, Feature Attraction 3E is by Baloubet de Rouet (Quidam de Revel) out of KingRidge Stables homebred Galaxy 3E (Aerobic). In the $5,000 1.40m Open Welcome, Grande Finale 3E and KingRidge Stables Trainer and Grand Prix rider Roberto Teran were rewarded with second place. Grande Finale 3E is a 2002 Canadian Sport Horse mare by Jamestown (Quidam de Revel) out of Black Diamond (Chin Chin). Ive been very pleased with Grande Finale 3Es performance and I look forward to the Jump Canada Young Horse Series Finals, said Teran who will be competing with the mare in the Finals held during the Canadian Show Jumping Tournament at the Caledon Equestrian Park from September 22 - 26. In the KingRidge Stables tradition, Grande Finale 3E is leading her division, with almost double the points of the next competitor, and is well positioned for a strong finish to her season. Always a force to be reckoned with, the horses bred by KingRidge Stables are historically tough competition at the Jump Canada Young Horse National Finals. Hugh Graham will remain in Canada for the second week of the Canadian Country Classic competition at Halton Place while Roberto Teran has travelled south to Saugerties, NY for the final two weeks of HITS on the Hudson. Graham will join Teran in Saugerties next week as they both compete in the Pfizer Million on September 12th. Graham will team up with Executive Privilege 3E while Teran will compete with Distant Star 3E. |

| Teran is Tops in Jump Canada Young Horse Series |
| 2010/8/23 |
By: Jennifer Ward Starting Gate Communications Ottawa, ON - The final qualifying event in the central region of the 2010 Jump Canada Young Horse Series took place during the CSI2* National Capital Show Jumping Tournament held August 11-15 and 18-22 at the Nepean National Equestrian Park in Ottawa, ON. As the Central Regional Final, double points were up for grabs, and Canadian-bred horses showed their talent by claiming three out of the four age divisions. Roberto Teran and Grand Finale 3E dominated the Seven and Eight-Year-Old Division. The pair jumped double clear over the courses set by Guilherme Jorge of Brazil and had the fastest time in the jump-off to secure the win. Bred by KingRidge Stables of King, ON, Grand Finale 3E is an eight-year-old bay Canadian Sport Horse mare by Jamestown out of a Chin Chin mare that Teran has been riding for four years. She has been doing so well in the Young Horse Series, said Teran, referring to the pair's wins at the Caledon National Horse Show in May, the CornerStone Horse Show in June, and the Summerfest Show held in July. I was so happy with her performance. She is incredible; she is ready for whatever I throw at her, even in new venues. A native of Colombia, Teran has been riding for KingRidge Stables of King City, ON, for seven years and has high hopes for the mare. She is so talented, he said. She is already competing at the grand prix level, and she always wants to be the best. Of the Jump Canada Young Horse Series program, Teran noted, I think its a wonderful program for Canadian breeders, especially for a big breeding operation like KingRidge. Its the best way to develop young horses for grand prix competition. Yann Candele placed second riding Susan Granges Hudson, a seven-year-old chestnut selle francais gelding by Epsom dUtah and out of a Yarlands Summer Song mare. The pair was also double clear but could not catch the time set by Teran and Grand Finale 3E. In third position was Damiro van ter Notelaere ridden by Alejandro Karolyi of Venezuela for owner Torrey Pines Stable of Schomberg, ON. Karolyi, who trains under the guidance of Olympic Champion Eric Lamaze, was also double clear, but in a slightly slower time. Damiro van ter Notelaere is a Dutch Warmblood gelding by Levantos and out of a Laeken mare. Winning the Six-Year-Old Division was Ainsley Vince aboard Utopie des Hautes, a chestnut Belgian Warmblood mare by Ogano Sitte and out of a Canadian River mare. Vince was double clear and had the fastest time in the jump-off with Utopie des Hautes to claim victory for owner Ashford Farm. She wants to go, said Vince of the mare that she has been riding for just over a year. She is very brave, very careful, and an all around great competitor. She always shines in new situations. Noting that the Ottawa competition was the final qualifying event for the central region before the National Finals in September, Vince said, I let my horses have a bit of a rest in the spring, so I needed to get some good points today. Thankfully, I did! Vince also echoed Terans statements on the value of the Jump Canada Young Horse Series to the Canadian horse industry. The series has come such a long way since it began. Its great for owners to have a mark to hit. Before the Young Horse Series, it used to be just a waiting game for young horses. The KingRidge entry of Infinity 3E ridden by Hugh Graham took second place. Bred in Canada by KingRidge Stables, Infinity 3E is a dark bay Canadian Sport Horse mare by Polyfax and out of a mare by Class Action. The pair was also double clear, and only a fraction of a second behind Utopie des Hautes and Ainsley Vince. Erynn Ballard placed third aboard Sera, dropping one rail in the jump-off for a total of four faults. Owned and bred in Canada by Braeburn Farms, Sera is a black Canadian Warmblood by Escudo and out of a Lacros mare. The Five-Year-Old Division was dominated by Itty Bitty, owned and ridden by Kelly Soleau. The pair was double clear and had the fastest time in the jump-off to secure the win. Bred in Canada by Millar Brook Farm of Perth, ON, and Ann Matthews, Itty Bitty is a bay Canadian Sport Horse mare by Mr. Itt and out of a Prospectors Halo mare. I have been riding her since she was a three-year-old, said Soleau of her mare. I took her over her first trot rails and fences, and it has been so wonderful to watch her develop and do so well. We named her Itty Bitty because she was so tiny when she was a foal, but now she has really grown up and come into her own. She would make a great 1.40m amateur horse, continued Soleau. She is possibly even national grand prix material. She has a small name but a huge heart, and she is very brave. Soleau also commented on the Jump Canada Young Horse program itself. I wish there were more Young Horse classes and that the five-year-olds had their own division at the shows, said Soleau. I will pick shows just for the Young Horse classes. Its just such a wonderful series that encourages Canadian breeders and owners, and its a great opportunity to develop young horses. Taking second place was Hugh Graham aboard another KingRidge entry, Jurys Choice 3E. Also double clear, Jurys Choice 3E is a dark bay Canadian Sport Horse mare by Polyfax and out of a mare by Chin Chin. Third place went to 2008 Olympic team silver medalist Jill Henselwood of Oxford Mills, ON, aboard Margaux. Owned by Juniper Farms and bred in Canada by Jennifer Rogers, Margaux is a bay Canadian Sport Horse mare by Quidam de Revel out of a Don Juan mare. With the Central Region now complete the top 10 horses in the Five, Six and Seven and Eight-Year-Old divisions in the Central Region will now go head-to-head in the Jump Canada National Young Horse Finals taking place at the Canadian Show Jumping Tournament held from September 22-26 in Palgrave, ON. Each age division consists of three classes, offering $3,000, $4,000 and $10,000 in prize money. The purpose of the Jump Canada Young Horse Series is to encourage the development of young show jumping talent and to give Canadian breeders additional incentives to breed superior show jumping prospects. Competing on a level playing field, the horses are divided according to age and jump at a level suited to their development. This careful development allows the horses to gain valuable experience and advance to the higher levels of show jumping competition with confidence. The Jump Canada Young Horse Series also gives prospective buyers for the hunter and jumper markets an opportunity to view a large group of prospects in a competition setting. | KingRidge bred horse producing great results in the Jump Canada Young Horse Series in Quebec |
| 2010/8/5 |
Congratulations to Independence Day 3E, Francois Lamontagne and Mudstyle Inc. for their third win in the Quebec Six Year Old Division of the Jump Canada Young Horse Series. Below is an excerpt from a recent press release by Starting Gate Communications. Francois Lamontagne made a trip to the winners circle after winning the Six-Year-Old Division, riding Independence Day 3E, a bay Canadian Sport Horse gelding owned by Mudstyle Inc. Independence Day 3E was bred in Canada by KingRidge Stables of King, ON, and is by Polyfax out of an Emilion mare. The pair had the fastest time in the jump-off by almost two seconds to secure victory. I felt really confident in this class, said Lamontagne of the Six-Year-Old Division, which he has already won twice before this season with Independence Day 3E, first at the Beaulieu Summer Classic I from June 26-27 followed by the Jumping Internationale de Blainville I from July 7-11. The owner wants me to keep him for a few years, build the horse, and hopefully take him to the grand prix level. He may be my next big mount! He is taller than Anton, but still light and careful, with a bigger stride, said Lamontagne, comparing Independence Day 3E to his current grand prix mount, Anton. Lamontagne says he will definitely compete at the Jump Canada Young Horse Series Finals in September at the Canadian Show Jumping Tournament in Palgrave, ON, with Independence Day 3E, and will be careful to give him all the rest he needs, saying, It will be all flatwork and turn-out for him up until the Finals. He deserves it! Photo by Pierre Pelletier, ProAction Photo |

| Roberto Teran Steals the Show in Young Horse Series |
| 2010/7/21 |
By: Jennifer Ward Starting Gate Communications Milton, Ontario The fourth event in the central region of the 2010 Jump Canada Young Horse Series took place during the Summerfest Show held July 14-18 at Iron Horse Equestrian Complex in Milton, ON. All four age divisions were won by Canadian-bred horses, and Roberto Teran was the winning rider in three of those. Teran and Grand Finale 3E dominated the Seven and Eight-Year-Old Division. The pair jumped double clear and had the fastest time in the jump-off to secure the win. Bred by KingRidge Stables of King, ON, Grand Finale 3E is an eight-year-old bay Canadian Sport Horse mare by Jamestown out of a Chin Chin mare that Teran has been riding for four years. She has been so consistent in the Young Horse Series, said Teran, referring to the pair's wins at both the Caledon National Horse Show in May and at the CornerStone Horse Show in June, both held at the Caledon Equestrian Park in Palgrave, ON. She is very forward, and so careful and scopey. She is another homebred grand prix prospect from KingRidge Stables!" Landing in second place was Michelle Vandal and VDL Viper H. Bred in Canada by Hogendoorn Sport Horses of Baden, ON, VDL Viper H is an eight-year-old grey Canadian Warmblood gelding by Corland and out of an Ahorn mare. The pair had four faults in the first round to keep them from advancing to the jump-off. Vandal also placed third with Futi's Calypso W, owned by Augustin Walch. Futi's Calypso W is a seven-year-old bay Canadian Warmblood gelding by Futurist and out of a mare by Capitol II. In the Six-Year-Old Division, Teran found himself in the winner's circle once again, this time aboard Incognito 3E, bred and owned by KingRidge Stables. Despite only beginning to ride the gelding this season, Teran piloted Incognito 3E to double clear rounds to secure victory. Incognito 3E is a bay Canadian Sport Horse gelding by Double Diamond II and out of an Emilion mare. He was a bit of a late bloomer," said Teran, a native of Colombia who has worked for KingRidge Stables for seven years. He did not have much mileage in the jumper ring and was pretty green. But he is so smart and simple, and now that we are in the middle of the season I can say that he will be on the top of his game for the end of the year. He will be a top amateur horse because he is so straightforward and uncomplicated. Teran also took second place after turning in a double clear performance riding In Your Dreams 3E. Also owned and bred by KingRidge Stables, In Your Dreams 3E is a chestnut Canadian Sport Horse mare by Double Diamond and out of a Junghengst mare. Michelle Vandal was also clear in the jump-off, but a slower time placed her third riding Futi's Ray of Hope W. Owned by Augustin Walch and bred at his W. Charlot Farms in Stratford, ON, Futi's Ray of Hope W is a chestnut Canadian Warmblood mare by Futurist and out of a Ritual mare. The Five-Year-Old Division once again saw Teran come out on top, this time riding Just for Fun 3E to double clear rounds. Bred and owned by KingRidge Stables of King, ON, Just for Fun 3E is a black Canadian Sport Horse mare featuring grand prix bloodlines her sire is Double Diamond and she is out of a Money Talks dam. I am almost certain that she is going to the big ring, said Teran of the mare. She has been super consistent this year, super careful, and showing more scope each time. Every time she goes to a new ring that is a little bit spooky or intimidating for the other horses, she just jumps better. She's a real winner, continued Teran. Sometimes you just have a special connection with a horse and, for me, she is one of them. Teran also commented on the program itself. The Jump Canada Young Horse Series is definitely succeeding, said Teran. Canadians have proven that the program is working, just look at the horses now competing in the grand prix ring. And KingRidge Stables has proven that they breed and develop great horses. Taking second place was EWSZ's Jerevel ridden by Miro Frei. Bred and owned by European Warmblood Stallion Zentrum of London, ON, EWSZ's Jerevel is a Rheinlander mare by Daimler d'Adriers and out of a Rio Grande dam. Jumping into third place were Hugh Graham and KingRidge Stables Jurys Choice 3E, a dark bay Canadian Sport Horse mare by Polyfax out of a mare by Chin Chin. The Four-Year-Old Division was won by Natasha Smith-Avery riding Beam P for owner Susan Parker. The pair had one rail down for a performance score of 45 points, and was awarded a style score of 45 out of a possible 50 for a total of 90 points. Bred in Canada by Prima Warmblood of Mount Albert, ON, Beam P is a bay Dutch Warmblood gelding by Indoctro and out of an Emilion mare. Claiming a close second was Robert Krcmar aboard La Fleur. La Fleur jumped clear for a maximum of 50 performance points and was awarded 39 style points for a total of 89 points. Owned by Jacqueline Wickens, Le Fleur is by Nektor and out of a mare by Loretin I. Placing third under rider Miro Frei was EWSZ's Jaspar, owned and bred by European Warmblood Stallion Zentrum. EWSZ's Jaspar had a clear round for the maximum of 50 performance points, and was awarded 36 points by the style judge for a total of 86 points. EWSZ's Jaspar is a chestnut Rheinlander gelding by Daimler d'Adriers and out of a Salut mare. | KingRidge Stables' homebred Fifth Estate 3E and resident rider Hugh Graham were invited to compete in the 2010 $200,000 Gene Mische American Invitational. |
| 2010/4/12 |
Tampa, FL - April 11, 2010 - It was with speed and grace that Jeffery Welles was able to capture Saturday nights victory with his top mount Armani during a three-horse jump-off. The pair raced through the finish line in 44.36 seconds after completing a clear short course during the 2010 $200,000 Gene Mische American Invitational presented by G & C Farm at Raymond James Stadium. Peter Leone tried to catch his time with Select, who also left all the rails intact, but the duos time of 44.87 seconds would fall just short and take second place. Mac Cone lowered the heights of three fences for a 12 fault score and third place honors. Olympic course designer Steve Stephens of Palmetto, FL, designed tonights difficult course. The 13 numbered obstacles featured three double combinations, including a double liverpool combination, an aqueduct wall, a triple bar, and a tall plank fence vertical. The most difficult fences proved to be the first part of the double liverpool combination and the plank fence. Leslie Howard and Lennox Lewis II were one of nine riders to fall victim to the liverpool combination, but they stopped the clock at 83.01 seconds to be the fastest four-faulter and earn the fourth place award. Howard was one of six four-fault riders, which also included Nicole Shahinian-Simpson, Cara Raether, Georgina Bloomberg, Michael Morrissey, and Hugh Graham. Tonight marked the 37th anniversary of the American Invitational, and all of the riders were excited to be a part of the unique event. G & C Farm was wonderful to step up and support this class because it is the last special class we have in our country, said Leone. This class has always been on the tour and it is very demanding. Cone added, Venues like this are special places and that is what really makes the sport. Gene [Mische] is a big part of how strong the US has come in show jumping worldwide. He was the one who started it all. Welles continued, It was nice to see Gene Mische here tonight. He has done so much for our sport over the years. He has given so much and it was really nice for him to be recognized tonight. | Graham and Executive Privilege 3E finish second in the $50,000 Charles Owen Grand Prix, presented by Pfizer Animal Health, at HITS Ocala |
| 2010/2/22 |
OCALA, FL Matthais Hollberg, of Apex, North Carolina, rode APEX Equestrian Center's Full A's to an exciting double-clear victory in Sunday's $50,000 Charles Owen Grand Prix, presented by Pfizer Animal Health, at the HITS Ocala Winter Circuit to close out the second week of the AA-rated circuit. International Course Designer Bernardo Cabral's course proved difficult, as only three out of a field of 33 riders returned for the jump-off. Quite different from Thursday's start where the first three riders all went clean, in Sunday's featured class the first five riders all dropped at least one rail on the course. Kristen VanderVeen and Bull Run Jumpers, LLC's Bull Run's La Bamba was the first pair to put forth a clean round, making it in just under the time allowed in 89.019 seconds. After VanderVeen went clear, seven more riders failed to master Cabral's first-round course. Hugh Graham and Executive Privilege 3E, owned by King Ridge Stables, gave it their best shot, coming through clean to force a jump-off. Hollberg and Full A's were the only team to go clear in the second half of the order. All three competitors advancing to the jump-off knew it would be a tight finish for the blue. Showing first in the jump-off was VanderVeen of St. Charles, Illinois, who took second place in the $25,000 HITS Grand Prix, presented by Pfizer Animal Health, last Thursday. The pair dropped a rail halfway through the round and finished in 54.067 seconds, which was enough for third place. Next to show was the team of Graham and Executive Privilege 3E, who jumped in 53.533 seconds with four faults to take the lead, while Hollberg waited in the wings. Rounding out the top five were Kate Levy and Lirving Du Volsin, owned by Kate Levy LLC and Christian Woshenko, in fourth place and Harold Chopping and Little Glen's Valentino, owned by Penelope Strait and Jenna Hoy, in fifth place. "We were thrilled with the entire event," said Penny Hubbard, USA Sales Manager for Charles Owen. "We loved the audience, the great field of riders and we were happy to be a part of the HITS Ocala Winter Circuit." "The $50,000 Charles Owen Grand Prix was really exciting!" said Lisa Engel, HITS Account Executive for Corporate Sponsorship. "The stands were full of spectators. The cheers from the crowd after the riders cleared the Liverpool in the first round really kept the excitement and anticipation building as we approached the jump off. It was great to have Charles Owens marketing team on-site on such a beautiful day!" Show Jumping continues on Tuesday, February 23, with the Ocala Masters. A full lineup of exciting classes and special events will highlight the week, including the $25,000 HITS Grand Prix, presented by Pfizer Animal Health, on Thursday, the $10,000 Devoucoux Hunter Derby, and the $75,000 Strongid C 2X Grand Prix, presented by Pfizer Animal Health, on Sunday as the road to the Pfizer Million continues. |

| Fifth Estate 3E Crowned 7/8 Year Old Champion in the Canadian Jumper Development Series National Championships |
| 2009/11/6 |
Halton Place, Ontario The 2009 National Champions in the Canadian Young Horse Jumper Development Series have been crowned. Following three days of competition at Halton Place, Fifth Estate 3E, Troy, Masquerade and Stevie Wonder all claimed national championship titles in their respective age divisions. KingRidge Stables of King City, ON, has produced many national champions over the years and, in 2009, its entry of Fifth Estate 3E claimed the National Seven and Eight-Year-Old Championship title. Ridden by Hugh Graham, Fifth Estate 3E was bred by KingRidge Stables and is by Class Action out of Alley Cat by Emilion. The eight-year-old Canadian Sport Horse gelding made a clean sweep of the championship titles, winning the Ontario Championship, Eastern Canadian Championship, and National Championship titles. Hes developed nicely over the past couple of years, and hes a quick horse that is very careful, noted Graham of Fifth Estate 3E. I rode both Class Action and Alley Cat in the ring, so riding the offspring is fun. It is great to breed them and then develop them, and I think that what we have accomplished shows that our breeding program is ahead of the game. In September, Graham won the $100,000 Caledon Cup Final at the CSI-W Canadian Show Jumping Tournament in Palgrave, ON, riding Executive Privilege 3E, another horse bred by KingRidge Stables that was developed through the Canadian Young Horse Jumper Development Series. The Young Horse program is something that we really need, said Graham, who has supported the Canadian Jumper Development Series since its inception. It costs so much to campaign horses, and this gives us a less expensive way to develop the young ones. The program gives us an opportunity to develop and showcase our horses. The Reserve National Championship title went to Airborne, another horse ridden by Graham. Owned by Laurel Graham, Airborne is a seven-year-old Dutch Warmblood by Emilion and out of Evelien by Zeoliet. The purpose of the Canadian Young Horse Jumper Development Series is to encourage the development of young show jumping talent and to give Canadian breeders additional incentives to breed superior show jumping prospects. Competing on a level playing field, the horses are divided according to age and jump at a level suited to their development. This careful development allows the horses to gain valuable experience and advance to the higher levels of show jumping competition with confidence. The Canadian Young Horse Jumper Development Series also gives prospective buyers for the hunter and jumper markets an opportunity to view a large group of prospects in a competition setting. Proud supporters of the Canadian Young Horse Jumper Development Series include Jump Canada, the Ontario Hunter Jumper Association, Lothlorien Farm, Gary Cooper, Dutch Masters Construction Services Ltd., Equus Integral (exclusive Canadian distributor of Cavalor and Devoucoux), Henry Equestrian, KingRidge Stables, Dr. Alan Manning, Mill Creek Stables, Peter Miller, Preston Sand and Gravel, Jennifer Rogers, Scotia McLeod, Sher-Al Farms, and W. | Hugh Graham Wins $100,000 Caledon Cup Final with Executive Privilege 3E at the inaugural Canadian Show Jumping Tournament |
| 2009/9/27 |
Palgrave, Ontario Hugh Graham of Schomberg, ON, won the $100,000 Caledon Cup Final held Sunday, September 27, to conclude the inaugural CSI2*-W Canadian Show Jumping Tournament at the Caledon Equestrian Park in Palgrave, ON. In addition to offering $30,000 in prize money to the winner, the $100,000 Caledon Cup Final acted as a qualifier for the 2010 World Cup Final to be held in April in Geneva, Switzerland. A total of 28 horses attempted the first round track set by course designer Bernardo Cabral of Portugal, who drew rave reviews for his work throughout the week. Although two of the first three competitors on course jumped clear but incurred one time fault, the time allowed of 85 seconds was not changed. It proved to be the right decision as the fifth competitor, local favourite Erynn Ballard of Hillsburgh, ON, riding Robin van Roosendael, demonstrated that a clear round inside the time was possible. Andres Rodriguez of Venezuela then ensured a jump-off with Secret and two more local athletes, Yann Candele of Caledon, ON, and Hugh Graham of Schomberg, ON, added their names to the list. The stage was set for an exciting jump-off. Ballard and her scopey Belgian Warmblood gelding opted for a conservative clear round which they executed in classic form, stopping the clock in 49.19 seconds. Rodriguez, 25, was the next challenger with Secret, his 10-year-old grey Dutch Warmblood gelding. The pair was moving at a quick pace, but a block came off the wall mid-way around the shortened course, followed immediately by another rail for eight faults. Candele was next up riding Mustique, a 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare for owner Susan Grange of Cheltenham, ON. Candele left all the rails in place in a time of 46.38 seconds to move into the lead. As the final challenger, Graham steered Executive Privilege 3E around the course with tight turns and accurate precision. Thousands of spectators held their breath as Graham cleared the final obstacle, then erupted into cheers as the scoreboard flashed the winning time of 45.37 seconds. I had a feeling it was going to be my day when I saw the order, said Graham who competed 26th in the 28-horse starting field. It is always an advantage to be last in the jump-off you know exactly what you have to do. Hes a quick horse, and he turns so well. Graham, 60, is a veteran member of the Canadian Equestrian Team and is the resident rider for Seymour Epsteins KingRidge Stables of King City, ON. His mount, Executive Privilege 3E, was bred at KingRidge Stables, and is a nine-year-old grey Canadian Sport Horse gelding by Class Action out of Galaxy, the first foal to be born in the KingRidge Stables breeding program. Hes a sweet horse, said Graham of Executive Privilege 3E. We broke him as a two-year-old, and he is just a baby, always giving you kisses and looking for treats. This is one of the bigger tracks weve jumped, and I could not be happier to win. As a local area resident, Graham acknowledged the importance of having an international show jumping tournament in the Toronto area, saying, It is a super opportunity to jump at this caliber without having to go across the country. Weve got to give credit to the show organizers and management. In addition to winning the $100,000 Caledon Cup Final, he also took home the Caledon Cup which is awarded to the top rider in both the $100,000 Caledon Cup Final and Fridays $32,000 Caledon Cup Open Welcome, Presented by Peel Maryborough and Aviva, where Graham and Executive Privilege placed sixth. | 2009/9/26 |
Palgrave, Ontario A total of 55 horses attempted to win the $10,000 Omnivex Modified Grand Prix held Saturday, September 26, at the Canadian Show Jumping Tournament in Palgrave, ON, but it was Montreals Melissandre Lincourt who emerged victorious riding Candidate du Marquet. From the large starting field, 12 horses posted clear rounds over the difficult first round track to advance to the jump-off where speed became the deciding factor. Yann Candele of Caledon, ON, had posted a clear round in a time of 35.68 seconds riding Game Ready for owner Sue Grange. Lincourt then made her way around the track in an impressive time of 35.43 seconds to edge Candele out of top spot. While Candele settled for second, Colombias Roberto Teran was third with a clear round in a time of 36.29 seconds riding the Canadian-bred Grand Slam 3E for owner KingRidge Stables of King City, ON. | KingRidge Stables dominated the Seven and Eight-Year-Old Division, earning the Ontario Championship title with Fifth Estate 3E and the Ontario Reserve Championship with Grand Slam 3E. |
| 2009/9/10 |
Ontario Champions Named in Canadian Jumper Development Series Halton Place, Ontario The final event of the Ontario Championships, held as part of the 2009 Canadian Young Horse Jumper Development Series, took place during the Canadian Country Classic I at Halton Place, ON, from August 26-30. The Ontario Champions are determined using the best five results from all Ontario competitions included in the Canadian Young Horse Jumper Development Series. When the points were calculated, there were some familiar faces at the top of the leader board with well-known stables KingRidge, North Ridge and Mill Creek all claiming championship titles. KingRidge Stables dominated the Seven and Eight-Year-Old Division, earning the Ontario Championship title with Fifth Estate 3E and the Ontario Reserve Championship with Grand Slam 3E. Ridden by long-time KingRidge jockey Hugh Graham, Fifth Estate 3E garnered enough points to take the championship title, despite only competing in three classes. Bred by KingRidge Stables in King City, ON, Fifth Estate 3E is an eight-year-old Canadian Sport Horse sired by Class Action and out of Alley Cat by Emilion. Grand Slam 3E, ridden by Roberto Teran of Colombia, is also a registered Canadian Sport Horse, but one year younger than stable mate Fifth Estate 3E. Grand Slam 3E is sired by Jamestown and is out of Celeste by Challenger. The purpose of the Canadian Young Horse Jumper Development Series is to encourage the development of young show jumping talent and to give Canadian breeders additional incentives to breed superior show jumping prospects. Competing on a level playing field, the horses are divided according to age and jump at a level suited to their development. | 2009/8/2 |
King Ridge Stables Dominates the Open Division at Caledons Equestrian Festival August 2nd , 2009 There is no question that King Ridge Stables is doing something right with their breeding program. After back to back Grand Prix wins at Equestrian Management Groups Phase II and Summer Classic horse shows this past June, riders Hugh Graham and Roberto Terans return to the Caledon Equestrian Park proved to be successful. Bay Street and Kimberley Farlinger had a faultless ride in 48.559 seconds, followed by Heather MacInnis and her mount Shine of Light, who completed the course with four faults. Tiffany Foster aboard Torrey Pines Stables Tikita was next to compete, coming up with a clean round in 48.519, good for second place thus far. Margie Gayford and Wingberry Farms Show Girl also had an unfortunate rail at the last jump, leaving only one rider left to challenge Hunkins time. Hugh Graham on his second mount, 8 year old Fifth Estate 3E, proved he had a need for speed and effortlessly jumped clean in 42.547 capturing the grand prix win. Fifth Estate 3E and Executive Privilege 3E are both King Ridge Stables home bred geldings by Class Action, and were 2nd and 5th respectably in the Open Welcome. | Executive Privilege 3E wins his second Grand Prix of 2009 in the $50,000 Ocala Jump Classic. |
| 2009/4/14 |
Press Release Courtesy of Horse-Canada.com Ocala, Florida Canadas Hugh Graham closed out the two-week Ocala Jumping Classic by winning the $50,000 Ocala Jumping Classic Grand Prix, Presented by Brook Ledge Inc., held Sunday, April 12, at the Florida Horse Park in Ocala, Florida. Course designer Catalina Cruz of Mexico set a track that saw nine members of the 30-horse starting field advance to the jump-off. Sergio Campos of Brazil was the first rider to post a double clear effort riding Mill Creek Early Morning, an eight-year-old Hannoverian mare owned by Canadas Mill Creek Stables, stopping the clock in a time of 39.60 seconds. Campos was immediately followed into the ring by Canadian Olympian Beth Underhill, who had been the winner of the $50,000 Ocala International Grand Prix one week earlier with Cantero Z. This time, her mount was Iron Horse Farms Top Gun, but a rail fell at the second element of the troublesome double combination before the final fence came down, leaving Underhill in sixth place overall. While another grand prix victory was not meant to be, Underhill had scored a hat trick in Fridays $10,000 Open Welcome taking first, second and third with Cantero Z, Top Gun and Tjengo respectively. Five-time Colombian Olympian Manuel Torres was next in the order and posted a clear round in a time of 38.78 seconds riding Chambacunero, a 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood stallion by Quidam de Revel, to take over the lead. It was short-lived, however, as the next challenger was Graham of Schomberg, ON, and Executive Privilege 3E, who had placed second to Underhill one week earlier in the $50,000 Ocala International Grand Prix. Graham guided the nine-year-old Canadian Sport Horse gelding, owned by King Ridge Stables, home in a time of 38.36 seconds to move to the top of the leader board. Three more riders, including Roberto Teran riding KingRidge Stables stallion Double Diamond, tried but none could do better, giving Graham the victory and $15,000 in prize money. Hes been jumping well all circuit, it is only his first season at grand prix, and it looks like he wants to be a winner, said Graham who also won the $50,000 EMO Grand Prix during the first week of the HITS circuit in Ocala, FL, with Executive Privilege 3E. There was a turn in the jump-off that the others didnt try and I knew I could probably manage it, so I did it. That made the difference. We had a good weekend. In addition to winning the $50,000 Ocala Jumping Classic Grand Prix with Executive Privilege 3E, Graham won the $5,000 Modified Grand Prix on both Saturdays riding the eight-year-old Canadian Sport Horse gelding, Fifth Estate 3E. Executive Privilege 3E and Fifth Estate 3E were bred by owner KingRidge Stables of King City, ON, and both are by the same sire, Class Action. I like the show because the footing is really good, the horses jump well, said Graham. It is very consistent, and that is important to me. It was a good show with some good competition. During the $50,000 Ocala Jumping Classic Grand Prix, Presented by Brook Ledge Inc., a catered luncheon was held in support of JustWorld International, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children in the developing world. It was a wonderful way to spend Easter Sunday, said Ainsley Hayes, Manager of the Ocala Jumping Classic. We had another great week of competition with beautiful courses set by Catalina Cruz, and the show continues to gain momentum every year. Hayes Co. will next produce the 2009 National Capital Show Jumping Tournament featuring the CSI2* National Open from August 12-16 and the CSI2* National Tournament from August 19-23 in Ottawa, ON. $50,000 Ocala Jumping Classic Grand Prix, Presented by Brook Ledge Inc. | Class Action offspring prove successful for KingRidge Stables. |
| 2009/4/14 |
Executive Privilege 3E and Hugh Graham secured a 2nd place finish in the $50,000 Ocala International Grand Prix, presented by Brook Ledge Inc. Coming off a great winter circuit at HITS Ocala, Executive Privilege 3E put in a double clean performance during the first week of competition at the Ocala Jumping Classic. With a field of 27 resulting in 5 clean rounds, Executive Privilege 3E, a 9 year old Canadian Sport Horse gelding, proceeded to the jump off with impressive competition. Unfortunately KingRidge Stables other mount in the Grand Prix, the stallion Double Diamond ridden by Columbias Roberto Teran, had an unfortunate rail later in the course. Executive Privilege 3E put in a great jump off round leaving all the rails up but his time of 36.18 wasnt fast enough to catch the leader of the class, Cantero Z ridden by Beth Underhill, with a time of 35.16. One of Grahams other mounts Fifth Estate 3E (pictured), an 8 year old Canadian Sport Horse gelding, won the $5,000 Modified Grand Prix on Saturday. Showing tremendous promise, Fifth Estate 3E will be one to watch in the coming years. Both geldings Executive Privilege 3E and Fifth Estate 3E were bred by KingRidge Stables of King City, On and are sired by Class Action, who is by the famous KWPN stallion Libero H. | Head's Up 3E wins the 5 Year Old Performance Futurity's Eastern Zone Jumper Championships |
| 2008/10/12 |
Tournaments Young Canadian Jumpers Meeting the Challenge Palgrave, Ontario Caledon Equestrian Parks Jumper Annex ring was bustling with activity on September 18th, as young jumpers vied for recognition. Tournament of Champions, which is host to the Canadian Jumper Development Series (CJDS) finals, was also host to the Canadian Performance Futuritys Eastern Zone Jumper classes. Four and five-year-old horses who had been campaigning all season, came together to see who would take the year-end prizes. The Canadian Performance Futurity has leverage off of the competition criteria of the CJDS since inception. Given that, it was only natural for the two classes to be held in cooperation, providing young horses and their riders a shot at two purses of prize money for a single effort. Canadian-bred horses nominated for the Canadian Performance Futurity, and competing in the CJDS Eastern Canadian Championship class, were assessed for the Futurity in their performance over a challenging course designed by senior course designer David Ballard. The prize for the four-year-old jumper went to Vivas Romeo W, owned and bred by Augustin Walch of W Charlot Farms. Romeo, a Canadian Warmblood, is by Viva Voltaire, out of Rios Rexy W, a Rios Rex mare. The championship for the five-year-old class went to KingRidge Stables, who has been a strong participant in the Futurity program since its inception. Heads Up 3E a Canadian Sport Horse gelding by Jamestown and out of Shooting Star 3E, a Class Action mare, was ridden to the top place by Roberto Teran. Heads Up, who narrowly beat out his sibling Holy Smoke 3E, also went on to become the CJDS National Champion. KingRidge is a strong participant in young horse jumper classes, commented Roberto Teran. Canadas breeding programs have improved over the past five years, and these classes give us a chance to show this. KingRidge horses are just as successful in the Young Jumper Championships in the United States as they are in Canadian programs, so we know they are competitive. The Canadian Performance Futurity, which is open to registered and Canadian bred horses, is funded in part by the Canadian Breeders' Initiative Fund (CBIF). CBIF supports Canadian breeders of horses for the FEI disciplines, providing financial assistance to initiatives which profile multiple breed registries, with a preference to Canadian organizations. The CBIF is administered by Equine Canada and funded with charitable donations. More on the Canadian Performance Futurity, including information for nominating horses, can be found at www.CanadianPerformanceFuturity.com. | KingRidge Stables Took Home Top Honours in the Seven and Eight-Year-Old Division |
| 2007/6/19 |
Roberto Teran piloted Encore 3E, a Canadian Sport Horse gelding bred and owned by KingRidge Stables in King City, ON, to victory in the Seven and Eight-Year-Old Division. As the first of six horses to return for the jump-off over the 1.35m course set by Rick Smith, Encore 3E, (pictured left), set the time to beat at 34.88 seconds. While three other challengers managed to leave all the jumps in place, none could catch the time. As the 2006 Canadian Six-Year-Old Champion, Encore 3E has made a successful step up to the Seven and Eight-Year-Old division this year. With an impressive show jumping pedigree featuring Class Action as his sire and Alley Cat, a grand prix jumper out of Emilion, as his dam, Encore 3E is doing justice to his carefully selected breeding. Taking second position was another KingRidge Stables entry, Diplomat, ridden by Hugh Graham. An imported Oldenburg gelding, Diplomat is a by the thoroughbred sire, Helikon xx and out of a Lauriston dam. In the Five-Year-Old Division, KingRidge Stables took third and fourth positions in the standings with its homebred talent. Granite 3E scored 89 under rider Hugh Graham while Grande Finale 3E earned 88 for Roberto Teran. Both horses are registered Canadian Sport Horse mares by the KingRidge sire and Grand Prix horse, Jamestown. Second place finisher in the Four-Year-Old Division was yet another KingRidge Stables entry. Heads Up 3E is a Canadian Sport Horse mare by Jamestown out of a Class Action mare that was ridden by Roberto Teran. File from Starting Gate Communications. |

| Premium Score for Distant Star 3E |
| 2007/6/4 |
Occasionally at KingRidge we have a weekend when all of the horses and riders are at home. We like to take advantage of such occasions to followup on outstanding business, including breeding approvals for horses whose schedules were too full to participate in earlier inspections. On Saturday a few of the mares were inspected by the representatives with Canadian Sport Horse Association with good results. Distant Star 3E (Class Action x Betwixt) in particular demonstrated that form follows function, with a premium score of 83.5%. Of particular note were the categories of Quality, Substance and Sport Horse Type, which all garnered a score of 9. |

| Grand Prix Victory in Last Week South of the Border |
| 2007/5/7 |
One group of horses remained south of the border in the final week of our winter term. While at South Carolinas Aiken Spring Classic Finale, Roberto Teran guided his string of jumpers to more than one victory. Encore 3E (Class Action x Alley Cat) and Executive Privilege 3E (Class Action x Executive Privilege) came 1st and 2nd in the 7/8 Year-Old Young Jumper Championships. Distant Star 3E (Class Action x Betwixt) continues to rise to success, winning the $30,000 Carolina Company Grand Prix. This fabulous finish was accomplished in her second career Grand Prix. Not to be left without company, Double Diamond (Nabab de Rev x Black Diamond / Chin Chin) also participated in the Grand Prix victory gallop with a 3rd place finish. This is a significant achievement given it was the first time this eight-year-old competed in a Grand Prix class. Double Diamond, one of the resident breeding stallions of KingRidge, is pictured left. |

As the competition horses migrate north from KingRidge Stables south in Florida, to the home base in King City, Ontario, a few weeks are set aside to participate in the Aiken Horse Show spring series. While there, the jumpers demonstrated that they are primed and ready for the season that awaits them up north. Distant Star 3E shone particularly brightly this past week, with success at the higher levels. Earlier in the week she won a Level 7 Jumper class, which positioned her well for the 2nd place finishes achieved in both the Open Welcome as well as the $25,000 Grand Prix. The KingRidge horses dominated the 7/8 Year Old Young Jumper Championships, with the top three placings going to Diplomat, Encore 3E (shown left) and Executive Privilege 3E. | KingRidge is a Force at Jumper Development Finals |
| 2006/9/22 |
With files from Starting Gate Communications. Distant Star 3E was among the Ontario Champions. The Canadian-bred has been developed through the Series, and continues to excel at every age level. By winning the final event of the season, the seven-year-old Canadian Sport Horse by Class Action out of Betwixt by Night Twist catapulted to the top of the standings. Owned and bred through embryo transplant by KingRidge Stables of King City, ON, Distant Star 3E is ridden by KingRidge's resident rider, Roberto Teran. The Ontario Six-Year-Old Reserve Champion was another horse owned and bred by KingRidge Stables. Executive Privilege 3E is a Canadian Sport Horse gelding by the KingRidge stallion, Class Action, out of Galaxy 3E by Aerobic Z. Strong results all season under Roberto Teran were highlighted by a win at the Collingwood Horse Show in August. Teran claimed the Six-Year-Old Eastern Canadian Championship for KingRidge Stables. Riding Encore 3E (pictured left), a Canadian Sport Horse gelding by Class Action, out of Alley Cat by Emilion. Teran was one of only two riders that advanced to the jump-off from the 20-horse starting field. Teran and Encore 3E laid down a clear round in a time of 40.86 seconds over the shortened Jump-off track set by course designer David Ballard that could not be beat. Encore 3E lived up to his name by being crowned the National Six-Year-Old Championship. Encore 3E was one of only three entries to advance to the jump-off. As the last to go, Teran knew exactly what he had to do - go fast and clear, and he did it with considerable ease, clocking in two seconds faster than his nearest competition. |

| Double Diamond and Polyfax Licensed with Canadian Warmblood |
| 2006/8/24 |
Once a year Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association (CWHBA) conducts a cross-country licensing tour. A panel of 4 judges two European and two Canadian assesses quality stallions and considers them for inclusion in the CWHBA Stud Book. This years panel consisted of Fritz Von Blottnitz, Senior Inspector with the Stallion Licensing Committee of the Hanoverian Verband; Cord Wassman, President of the Stallion Licensing Committee of the Hanoverian Verband; Eve Mainwaring, Senior CWHBA Inspector and member of the CWHBA Stud Book Committee; Jennette Coote, Senior CWHBA Inspector and member of the Stud Book Committee. Both Double Diamond and Polyfax were presented and considered to meet stringent criteria for jumping, movement and conformation. Not surprisingly, both were awarded scores of 9s for scope and technique over jumps. Double Diamond was one of two stallions to obtain the top score. Only 4 of 7 horses presented in Ontario were accepted. To meet full breeding approval, stallions must also meet performance criteria. Generally this is achieved by attending a Stallion Performance Test. Instead, an application will be made to meet this through achievement in sport. In the meantime, offspring by these two stallions are eligible for registration with CWHBA. |
